Belle Chemical hosted a STEM Manufacturing Day for the fourth and fifth grade students at Belle Elementary. Students visited a variety of STEM stations led by Belle Chemical employees.

JoLena Broussard, manager of strategic engagement and communications at Belle, led a manufacturing month learning activity during the Riverside Public Library's Family Fun Night. A small group of kids from preschool age to middle school worked on the 'Make Your Own Molecule' STEM kits to learn how Belle's products are made from methanol and ammonia. Belle gave the library 70 additional STEM kits to distribute during story times.

Belle representatives volunteered to lay the foundations for the Marmet Natural Playground. The playground is a reuse project taking used tires and turning them into playground items. The playground is located at the Bill Wells Park. As a zero-waste facility, Belle Chemical prioritizes sustainability and working with the community on sustainable initiatives.

Belle Chemical kicked-off manufacturing month with a STEM demonstration at DuPont Middle School. Over 120 sixth graders participated in four STEM stations learning about frictional force, liquid stacking, acid-base reactions, and making oobleck. All activities were planned by Senior Chemist Heather Henson. Belle volunteers were on-hand to work the stations and education the students on the career opportunities at Belle Chemical.

Belle participated in its 3rd Day of Caring with the United Way of Central WV. Belle employees volunteered for over six hours doing clean-up and maintenance to the Booker T. Washington Community Center in London, WV.

Belle attended the WVU Tech Fall Career Fair. The career fair helped showcase the jobs and opportunities available to Tech students.
