Belle participated in the 10th Annual Chemspec Events Scholarship Golf Outing at Manufacturers’ Golf and Country Club in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Belle sponsored the “Ladies and Men’s Closest to the Pin†awards. All scholarship funds raised are used to assist university students majoring in chemistry, chemical engineering and related sciences.

Belle Chemical Company received a Governor’s Commendation for International Market Entry for becoming the latest West Virginia company to export to Japan. Miriam Ronchi, global marketing manager, accepted the award on behalf of Belle Chemical from Gov. Jim Justice in a virtual ceremony in which he commended the company for its willingness to expand into international markets and offer high-quality products to global customers.

Belle, an affiliate of Cornerstone, acquired the methylamines business from Chemours on Jan. 1, 2020. Belle acquired the entirety of the methylamines business, including amines—monomethylamine (MMA), dimethylamine (DMA) and trimethylamine (TMA)—and amides—dimethylformamide (DMF) and dimethylacetamide (DMAc)—along with production and logistics assets and approximately 50 operating personnel located at the Belle, West Virginia site. Greg Zoglio, President and CEO of Belle, said, “This is an exciting transaction for Belle, our customers and the 50 dedicated employees who have supported Chemours’ methylamines business."
