PAC Engineer Jason Lloyd recently accepted a position on the board of directors for the West Virginia Manufacturers Association Educational Fund (WVMAEF). This program provides real world experience for the future job force of West Virginia. While Lloyd's position at Belle remains his primary focus, this position is a great opportunity for him to contribute to a cause that impacts local student's lives.

Belle sponsored the Men and Women's Closest to the Pin awards for the Eleventh Annual Chemspec Events Scholarship Golf Outing at the Manufacturers' Golf and Country Club in Fort Washington, PA. Ben Murray, commercial manager, spent the day going golfing and networking with customers. JoLena Broussard, Sr. Corporate Affairs and Communication Advisor and member of the 2021 Golf Outing Committee, spoke at the awards ceremony and presented the awards to the six "Closest to the Pin" winners.

Belle donated $2,000 to the Riverside High School (RHS) science department in support of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. The funds will go toward purchasing items on the school's "STEM wish list," which includes new laboratory and classroom equipment.

Belle donated $2,000 to the Belle Volunteer Fire Department to thank them for donating their time and resources to help Belle Chemical with filling its breathing air bottles. The $2,000 will go towards the fire department's annual maintenance cost to maintain and certify the air compressor that is used for this task.

Students at Poca Middle School completed Lab #2 that was hosted by Belle for the Manufacturing Days Virtual Lab from the West Virginia Manufacturers Association. Students watched a video highlighting Belle employees discussing their jobs to give students an inside look on careers in manufacturing. They also participated in a lab experiment that taught them about monomers, polymers, and surface tension.
