Todd Morgan, senior reliability engineer presented the Belle Chemical Scholarship award to Chaz Bentley, a senior at Herbert Hoover High School. Bentley has been an active student in the WVMA EF Explore Academy programs and attended Carver Career and Technical Center's Manufacturing Prep Class.

Michael Hodge, advanced safety engineer at Belle, presented an operational and chemical data overview of Belle for the Kanawha Putnam Emergency Planning Committee (KPEPC). The KPEPC is a group of emergency responders, county emergency planning officers, and other manufacturing companies. Hodge's presentation highlighted the products Belle Chemical produces and the safety response measures taken on-site.

Alicha Hunt, Operations Manager, presented Belle Chemical Scholarship Honoree, Neveah Ellington, with her scholarship award during Riverside High School's Senior Awards Day. Ellington will be attending Marshall University in 2022-2023.

Belle supported the DuPont Middle School robotics team by donating $1,000 to assist with their travel expenses to compete in the 2022 VEX Robotics World Championship on May 3-5, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. Belle also sponsored a pizza party for the robotics team to celebrate and wish them good luck before they departed for the competition in Texas

Belle employees volunteered at the WVU Extension Service Outdoor Classroom at Camp Virgil Tate. Our volunteers spent the day leading fourth grade students through six stations that included nature, healthy living and STEM activities.

Belle partnered with the Education Alliance to facilitate a government affairs job shadow-training module for students at Washington High School. JoLena Broussard discussed her role as the manager of strategic engagement and communications and shared Belle Chemical's public, government and community affairs strategy with the students to expose them to an unconventional career field in the manufacturing industry.

Belle donated $2,000 to Carver Career and Technical Education Center to support its Fire and Emergency Management Service Program. The funds will go toward purchasing new equipment for the school's EMT class that trains students to Level 1 Firefighter and provides the opportunity to become EMTs.
