Belle representatives visited West Virginia University Institute of Technology to tour the institute’s labs and to meet with chemical engineering students, campus leadership and faculty. We look forward to partnering with West Virginia University Institute of Technology in the future.

Belle sponsored the Leadership West Virginia Economic Development, Energy and Manufacturing session in Bridgeport, WV. Todd Dina, Vice President – Commercial, served as the guest speaker for the 40-person class of leaders, sharing the paradigm shift that shifted Belle Chemical Company toward success.

Belle volunteers participated in the United Way of Central West Virginia 2021 Annual Day of Caring by volunteering at the Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority – Carroll Terrace Apartments Community Garden. Volunteers spent the day cleaning out garden plots, pulling weeds and replacing mulch. Belle is proud to support the beautification of our local community.

Belle representatives attended the West Virginia Manufacturers Association (WVMA) All-State Legislative Dinner to network with legislators and local manufacturing companies. At the Belle sponsored dinner table, the team enjoyed connecting with Delegate Chris Pritt (R – Kanawha, 36).

Belle's own, Alex Kincaid and David Wojciechowicz, were selected for the Charleston Area Alliance’s Leadership Kanawha Valley (LKV) Class of 2021-22. Throughout the eight-month program, the class will meet monthly to hear from guest speakers, attend exclusive tours throughout the region and discuss community challenges and initiatives. Leadership Kanawha Valley has exposed emerging and existing community leaders to the issues that face our region while challenging and engaging participants to strengthen the community through service and leadership. Alex and David attended the LKV kickoff session at J.Q. Dickinson Salt Works.

Belle representatives attended the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce's 2021 Annual Meeting and Business Summit at the Greenbrier to network with members of the West Virginia legislative leadership and members of the West Virginia business community.

Belle volunteers visited one of the 2021 Summer Discovery Camps at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences of West Virginia that focuses on STEM education. During the visit, Belle volunteers assisted the campers with making salt dough ornaments and completing other STEM-related activities.

Belle donated $5,000 to the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences of West Virginia to provide12 STEM summer camp scholarships and to sponsor the upcoming 'Van Gogh for All' exhibit. The scholarships were for kids to attend the 2021 Summer Discovery Camps at the Clay Center.

Belle representatives visited West Virginia State University (WVSU) to speak to high school and undergraduate students about the opportunities available through STEM related careers and provide students with tips on creating professional resumes.
